I’m not sure how this one passed us by, being one of those films that gathers together every famous person under the sun and tries to link together all their different stories and lives. We love this kind of stuff! And I loved this.
It’s interesting, because the more famous the actors were, the less interesting their characters were. Ben Affleck was non-existent, Bradley Cooper a nightmare, even Scarlett Johansson didn’t really sell her character to me. On the flip side, I loved Ginnifer Goodwin’s kooky portrayal, and her story with I’m a Mac would have been more interesting if told all by itself!
It was good though, bit odd in places, and some of the links for the stories felt flimsy, but ultimately enjoyable and a total surprise - considering we thought we’d watched all the good romcoms already.
