2:22 Boo, the President is in a helicopter and not Air Force One.

1:00:07 The President now has only one shoe on.
1:03:36 Weirdly never thought of the White House having a kitchen.

Conclusions

It’s weird how films come along in twos. After watching, and not really liking, Olympus Has Fallen, we were hoping this would be a lot better.

And we were not disappointed. I loved it! It’s Roland Emmerich, so you have to expect the disaster style movie from the outset, a kind of film I love. Tatum was great as the dad, and the kid, far from being just a prop to get in the way, was feisty and fearless and awesome.

It was funnier than I thought it would be, lots of laughs, and the only bit I didn’t like was the helicopters falling out of the sky. That’s my own flying machine related phobia, though, and not really a reflection on the film. Considering it was filmed in Canada, the huge amounts of green screen are very well done!
