Thoughts
I was expecting this to be your traditional cheesy rom-com wedding movie but it turned out to be a proper comedy that was a lot more enjoyable than I’d anticipated. Jennifer Lopez is great, and I loved the chemistry between her and Duhamel, which seemed to grow and evolve with the movie just as it should have done.
The story was good, it was a little bit reminiscent of The Lost City - two people bumbling about the jungle and somehow managing to survive against the bad guys and against all the odds, but it was a bit more grounded than that film… whilst still being ridiculous, obviously.
And of course Jennifer Coolidge stole the show because we are living in a golden age of Coolidge that I don’t want to ever end. A great fun film full of laughs.
