I didn’t know this story but once I saw it had Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts in it, I was on board. It’s a dense film, as you might expect from Aaron Sorkin, with a lot of politics and moving parts to keep track of. But it does a really good job, and even a fool like me could follow what was actually an emotional story.

I liked that it told an important story that really got you invested, despite the fact most of the people weren’t that likeable, having both good and bad points to their character - very human in that respect! And although it comes to a good ending, it leaves you thinking about the repercussions from these events, particularly with the recent change in power in Afghanistan.
