3:33 “Phone lady, decline.”
8:02 The man that makes the rules, claiming not to make the rules. That’s politics, for sure.
18:03 “I’m looking for a wifi password.” “Good luck.” “Case sensitive?” “No, good luck getting wifi.”
22:18 On the one hand, I do think it’s sad losing a way of life but on the other hand, I don’t want everyone in a town to know my name.
28:47 “Can we quiet the cows, please?” Dude.
36:19 What is with the semi-colon on the sign?
41:07 “You know in your analogy, you’re Darth Vader.”
44:31 Had to have a snack as there’s so much food in this movie!
49:47 The ads are the worst. On both sides.
53:34 “UNPLUG IT!” Yep, gives me nightmares too. Modem rage.
56:39 “It all goes from farm to tables of some kind.”
1:04:32 NATASHA! I forgot she was even in this. So much love.
1:09:39 I’ve lost the plot a bit now.
1:13:09 Nun too happy.
1:19:03 Oh god. Turns out they are ALL AWFUL.
1:21:24 “So, when they go low, we go high… er, incrementally in relation to how low they went.”
1:34:25 “But this system, the way we elect people, it’s terrifying. And exhausting. And I think it’s driving us all insane.”

I saw a handful of bad reviews before watching this so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I can sort of see why people don’t like it, it sets out to confuse and betray you from the start but I don’t think it’s a bad film particularly. It’s quite clever and the twists are good.

Unfortunately, by the time the clever twists were happening, I had sort of lost the grip of what was going on - it being all about politics and super pacs and things. Whatever they are.

The two best bits for me were when she confronted him about calling them small minded and he had no leg to stand on at all, and then later when she told him they were being used just as much as she was using them. Mackenzie Davis might have been the best thing in it.

Entertaining and interesting but not really a success for me, I think.
