“Cameron Diaz leads a knockout cast in this irreverent comedy about love, lust and the laws of karma. New York Attorney Carly Whitten is nobody’s fool. So when she accidentally discovers that her too-good-to-be-true boyfriend Mark is married, she’s less than thrilled. Not only that, she and Mark’s wife Kate, learn about yet another mistress! Before long, however, the betrayed beauties have become unlikely pals who’ve decided to teach their three-timing man a lesson. The more the trio learns about Mark, the worse he seems, and the more fun they have without him!”

Conclusions

Mixed feelings on this one. Lesley Mann is brilliant, but it takes a while to become acclimatised to her. The high-pitched voice, the sort of crazy wild-eyed antics, it’s a good ten minutes before it settles down. The set up is a little bit unbelievable too, that they would be able to sustain a relationship based on the cheating husband’s antics doesn’t really sell well.

However, once you get past all that stuff, it’s actually quite a good comedy. They become a good team, have some funny dialogue, and get themselves into amusing scrapes. I’m not entirely sure the third woman is required, but it all seemed to work out in the end. Not so much for the husband, of course.

Overall I’d say entertaining and worth a watch if you’re at a loose end but not top of the list.
