Title: American Wedding
Director: Jesse Dylan
Run time: 1hr 36m
As mentioned before, we foolishly decided to work through the three main American Pie films ahead of watching the Reunion one, and this was the third installment. I was curious to see how it would work with the characters clearly supposed to be growing up and being in more adult situations.
1:10 – She’s obsessed!
3:20 – “This is one of those moments you’re going to remember for the rest of your life.”
5:22 – Aww, the dad.
7:37 – I love that the MILF boys are in every film!
8:42 – That’s a different mum, right?
9:35 – Someone lets Stifler drive a school bus??
15:05 – Who let Stifler into a school??
19:11 – “Impolite would be an improvement.”
25:55 – 80s medley! The music gets better.
26:48 – How do dance offs decide the winner?
29:53 – So, a) that’s the woman out of Mad Men and b) she looks like an older sister.
32:32 – These people keep getting naked with the doors and windows open.
38:25 – “Being smart is so hard.”
38:54 – The Finchmeister!
47:12 – He becomes the help, he puts on a British accent. Hmm.
58:10 – He wonders how he keeps getting into these scrapes? By doing stuff like that!
1:03:28 – That’s too gross.
1:08:53 – Smugface!
1:15:42 – “I don’t do apologies so good.”
1:23:34 – I wasn’t expecting that.
1:31:30 – Bless.
It took me a while to get on board with this one, because it seemed that somehow Stifler had made the transition from hyper sex-addict teenager to properly psychotic adult. That manic laugh! It was less focused on him halfway through though, so that helped, and gradually the story became a lot more interesting. Preferred this one to the last, and again, the recurring jokes help things along.
